Parts for Pallet Truck

Parts for Pallet Truck

around the web

Pallet Truck Parts - A pallet stacker is a kind of pallet jack that is used to move, stack and haul palletized goods that are too difficult for manual lifting. Its key purpose is to load and unload pallets on vehicles, and also transferring pallets to and from various places within a storage space or stockroom. On the whole pallet stackers are manufactured of heavy duty materials to withstand extreme weights. Pallet stackers are sometimes identified as pallet jacks. They may be operated from a seated, upright or walk-behind position. Pallet jacks are separated into manual and powered varieties.

Certain fundamental components comprise the pallet stacker. There are forks that slide under a pallet, capable of transporting and lifting it to a desired height. The motor section or casing houses the gas-run, electronic or hydraulic apparatus that powers the piece of equipment.

Commonly, pallet jacks come in walk-behind versions that are hand-powered. This means that they are moved by pushing and pulling the jack into its preferred location, while lifting the heavy pallets will be operated hydraulically making this duty much easier. Using a foot pedal or lever raises the stacker's forks. Squeezing a handle or trigger returns the forks to the ground. These models of pallet stackers are perfect for lighter loads of up to approximately 1 ton or 907.18 kg.

Electric or gas powered pallet jacks can accommodate heavy lifting weights of up to 5 tons or 4535.92 kg. They are physically less demanding than the manual designs due to the automatic power to hoist and lower the stacker's forks. These versions are steered by turning the handle in a specific direction. There is a button on the handle that operates to raise and lower the forks. A throttle found on the stacker's handle moves the machine forward and in reverse. This type of equipment is regularly known as a lift truck and is used from a sit-down position.

As the fork width, load maximum and lift height fluctuate dramatically between individual models, selecting the right pallet jack to fit the job is critical. Some stacker's lift height may allow several pallets to be stacked, while others might only tolerate two at a time. Some models of these hoists feature an changeable fork so as to permit the stacker to slide underneath pallets of different sizes and shapes. These versions are efficient when a mixture of types of pallets are used within a workspace.
