Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They began as a small machine shop at first employing four individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and various components. Through 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to forty staff and their annual sales volume had increased to $330,000. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the leading global producers in the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business possibilities. During the past sixty years, the material handling business has developed into a very advanced area and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this development. Cascade presently continues to grow as the premier provider of forklift attachments and numerous related products. The business feels assured in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive within the world market.

In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, making and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was finished in the year 1956 on a brand new office to be able to house all of the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. After fifteen years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty employees and sales had reached nearly $2,300,000.

1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next manufacturing plant was built. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry while the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The business changed its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production facilities within the United States with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are manufactured globally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to buying 5 companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in blades.
